Don R. Kuykendall

Don Kuykendall is a Managing Director in the Business Development Group of Commerce Street Capital, LLC. Mr. Kuykendall’s focus is to expand the company’s corporate investment banking opportunities and strategic business development in the Central Texas / Houston corridor.

Prior to joining Commerce Street, Mr. Kuykendall was Chairman of the Board & President of, STRATFOR, a global intelligence company. Before that, he owned various radio stations in Texas and Mississippi. Don began his banking career in 1972 when he joined Continental Bank in Chicago as a lending officer in the multinational division. After five years in Chicago, he returned to Texas with First National Bank in Dallas where he was head of the Southwest Division. In 1983 he, along with a group of Austin investors, started Alliance Bank (de novo) where he served as CEO and later as Chairman of the Board.

He earned his BBA & MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
