Mr. Cryer is a Managing Director in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Commerce Street. Mr. Cryer is responsible for deal sourcing, capital raises, both equity and debt, financial modeling and analysis, and due diligence for a broad range of businesses in the energy sector.
His areas of expertise include energy transition technologies, Oil and gas production, midstream/pipelines, renewable energy, power generation and utilities, and agriculture.
Mr. Cryer has 25 years of experience in the energy sector, spanning technical, as well as finance and investment management roles. He has worked in investment management and equity research focused on the energy sector since 2005.
Prior to joining Commerce Street, Judd worked at Cushing Asset Management for 14 years as a portfolio manager, analyst, and energy market strategist for the firm. He spent three years as a consulting engineer with Utility Engineering Corporation (Xcel Energy subsidiary) in the power generation and utilities industries, and prior to that he worked as a project manager with John Zink Company, a Koch Industries company, which specializes in combustion and emissions control equipment.
Mr. Cryer earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from SMU’s Cox School of Business and his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He lives in the Dallas area with his wife and three children.
Mr. Cryer is a registered representative and has passed the FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 exams.
