Jeffrey M. McClure

Jeffrey McClure joined Commerce Street in June of 2021 as a Managing Director providing business development and transaction expertise across a variety of sectors.

Prior to joining Commerce Street Mr. McClure was most recently the CEO of Assured Partners Financial Services, the broker dealer subsidiary of Assured Partners.

Prior to Assured, Mr. McClure was the founder, Chairman and CEO of The Bear Companies LLC.
Founded in 2004 TBC provided both broker dealer and asset management services to institutional clients totaling several billion in total transactions. TBC was involved in numerous capital market activities including securitizations and debt financing for financial service and real estate entities both public and private.

While at TBC, Mr. McClure cofounded Kodiak Funding an asset manager that managed securitized product totaling over $2 billion in assets.

Prior to TBC, Mr. McClure was a Managing Director at FBR Capital Markets in the real estate investment banking group. Mr. McClure was responsible for numerous transactions including IPO’s, public and private debt and equity for real estate related entities.

Previously, Mr. McClure held positions at Freddie Mac, the FDIC, and the FSLIC.

Mr. McClure holds a Juris Doctor with Distinction from the Scalia Law School at George Mason University and a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Mr. McClure is a registered representative and has passed the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79, and 99 examinations.
